Learn about cosmetic packaging
Cosmetics packaging is used in cosmetic containers (primary packaging) and in the secondary packaging of spices and cosmetics. Cosmetics are substances used to clean, beautify and improve the appearance without changing the structure or function of the body. Cosmetic packaging is standardized by the international norms developed by the International Organization for Standardization (International Organization for Standardization), and is regulated by national or regional regulations (such as the regulations issued by the European Union or the FDA). Marketers and manufacturers of cosmetics must comply with these regulations in order to sell their cosmetics within their respective jurisdiction. The term cosmetic packaging includes both primary and secondary packaging. The main package (also known as cosmetic containers) is used to contain cosmetics. It is in direct contact with cosmetics.
Secondary packaging is the outer packaging of one or more cosmetic containers. An important difference between the main and auxiliary packages is that any information needed to clarify the safety of the product must appear on the main package. Otherwise, much of the must be information can only appear on the secondary package. Cosmetic containers shall indicate the distributor's name, composition, defined storage, nominal content, product identification (e. g., batch number), warning tips, and instructions for use. The auxiliary packaging shall also be accompanied by the dealer's address and information about the role of the cosmetics. Auxiliary packaging is not required to carry any product identification notices. If the cosmetics is only packaged by one container, the container needs to carry all information.
